Use your favorite cereal brand, and if you want extra protein add a spoonful of hemp seeds. I use corn flakes with no added sugar while my 6-year old prefers Cheerios. Daddy can’t have sugar or cereals so I use chia seeds and a 50/50 coconut and almond milk mix (recipe coming soon!).
- ½ – 1 cup cereal
- ½ cup of milk (or as desired)
- A few strawberries
- 1 banana
Chop the fruits, pour the milk and the cereal in a bowl and add the fruits and nuts. So easy and nutritious. Delicioso!!
It doesn’t take more than 5 minutes and even lets the kids get involved (they can grab the bowls and serve the cereal and the milk if they are old enough while you chops the fruits).
And you might be asking yourself, is this really Mexican?? Definitely! As a child growing up in Mexico my grandma used to make this for me all the time. If there were no berries, no problem, just a whole banana would do!
